About Us

About the Dr. Ho’s Family

Dr. Ho’s was established in 1998 by original owners Jerry Danner (Dr. Ho) and Ian Wren.  The restaurant was sold in summer of 2007 to Michael and Nancy McCarthy.   We take great pride in handcrafting everything that goes into your food.  At Dr. Ho’s, there is no short cut to good pizza.  Our homemade dough is hand tossed and topped with the freshest ingredients we can source from local farms to provide you with what we hope you will find to be the best pizza around.   Everything on our menu is made on premises from scratch by our dedicated kitchen staff.  Our mission at Dr. Ho’s has always been to take pride in our craft. Creatively prepared honest food and gracious service is our philosophy. At the present time, we use products from the following local sources: Belair Farm, Thomas Dairy Farm, Highland Farm, Double H Farm, Caromont Farm, Steadfast Farm, Turner Family Country Hams, Vintage Virginia Apples, Wade’s Mill, Blue Mountain Brewery, Starr Hill Brewery, Lovingston Winery, White Hall Vineyards, Devils Backbone Brewing Company

One day each week, the big table at the back of Fulks Run Grocery, a small provisions store, is cleared so that people can sit down and eat sandwiches at what normally serves as the ham shipping department for Turner Ham House.
